Friends from the past show up just in the nick of time for some, but are they the same people they used to be? A shocking twist keeps this story exciting, just as the reader has come to expect. Sometimes there is not a happy ending to be told.

The last of the 3 book series. I'll start by saying that I hated to see it end, it left me with a lot of questions. This book shows that no matter how well you are prepared, everything can come to an end quickly. For the towns people of Enola things have gone from bad to worse. With the winter weather setting in and the food running low, almost all hope is lost. But when the military steps forward and tells them the plans of rebuilding the nation a little hope is restored to everyone. The book follows the youngest of the sons as he becomes the man of the house. His trials and tribulations with what he has done and what he will have to do in the future. It does a very good job reminding everyone that the future is not guaranteed and full of uncertainty not only in a post nuclear war society, but in every day life. Like I said earlier, I was sad to see this series end. So many questions were left unanswered, and just like in the real world there will not always be a fairy tell ending.Product details

I enjoyed this series. Will read more by this author. I don't know if any of the disaster
Scenarios are possible, but it is fiction and I am reading mostly for entertainment
I hope to see additional books in this series. I was disappointed with the way it ended,but that is the way the author wanted to end. I hope there is a sequel to this series.
This book was just as great as the other two. I was sad to hear that this book is the last one of this series but I also understand why it is this way. The author is very very good with writing and keeping you involved in the lives of theses people . I would like to thank the the author for the adventure I got to have while reading
